Carboxymethylcellulose 0.5%, glycerin 0.9%
Indications/Uses
Optive: Temporary relief of burning, irritation & discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun. Protectant against further irritation. Optive UD: Ocular lubricant in dry eye. Relief of dryness & discomfort following ocular surgery eg, LASIK.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if eye pain, vision changes, continued eye redness or irritation occur, or if condition worsens or persists for >72 hr. May cause transient blurring of vision which may impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Ped patients. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Conjunctival/ocular hyperemia, dry eye, eye pain & pruritus, eyelid erythema, blurred vision. Optive UD: Ocular discomfort, visual disturbance. Punctate keratitis, halo vision, conjunctival hemorrhage, glare, foreign body sensation in eyes, photophobia, astigmatism, corneal disorder.
